The rest of the sea – the dream of almost every holiday maker! The Eastern part of Russia are used and forced to rest on the coast of the sea of Japan. It would seem that it can be dangerous in this region. However, on closer inspection, it was discovered the inhabitants, who simply need to know and to be particularly careful!
Let’s start with Yellow perch (trehpolosaya) — native of Japanese waters, it has quite a menacing look – the dorsal fin consists of 15 acute rays, the Gill slits are spikes, characteristic of the spotted-striped color…
Reach impressive sizes (up to half), but grow very slowly, reach sexual maturity at ten years of age! So what threat this slow instance of marine fauna? At the base of the spines on the fins and the Gill slits are poisonous mucous glands which secret, getting into the wound, causes a local and then a systemic poisoning of the body. Meeting with Yellow perch can seriously spoil your holiday by the sea. Symptoms: pain and inflammatory reaction, then, perhaps swollen lymph nodes. At the injury there is swelling, which could spread to the entire limb. Famous deaths.
In the injection – treatment of the wound with disinfectants and symptomatic treatment.
Further,it is worth mentioning jellyfish, let’s start with Lanei hairy . the largest jellyfish in the world, in the Guinness book of records registered the maximum size is 2.28 meters in diameter. So, typical signs: red umbrella (maybe raspberry or orange hue), the thickness of the umbrella is reduced to the edge, and the edge of the blade is transparent. The tentacle is quite long, divided into eight beams, form a kind of veil that protects the bodies underneath the umbrella. The hairy cyanea occurs in southern Primorye, mainly small individuals, in spring and early summer they gather in large clusters (up to one hundred meters of the field), there are instances of up to 60 centimeters… the Venom is contained in stinging cells on the tentacles, a single burn is not dangerous to humans, however with increasing dose of the poison received – there is a risk of allergic reactions.
Jellyfish–the garden spider – the locals of the seaside coast are well aware of this problem, every summer there are cases of references in medical institutions with a characteristic “burns”… the Size of the “garden spider” is 4 inches, clear dome and colored bodies located cruciform – they called this dangerous mind. On the edge of the umbrella are thin tentacles (about a hundred) with stinging cells and a strong enough poison. The influx of jellyfish is observed at the end of July and in August, when the water is heated to optimum temperatures, reproduces in the shallow water…
The symptoms of “burn”: severe pain, redness and the appearance of blisters… – growing weakness, difficulty breathing due to bronchospasm, dry cough, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, muscle pain (like bursting), numbness of extremities, nervous excitement, possible fainting (low blood pressure)…
Aurelia eared – occurs more often than other types, size is up to 40 centimeters in diameter, the body thickens from the edges to the middle. The oral cavity resemble the ears of a donkey, so called — eared on the Outside… on the edge of the umbrella – fine outgrowths underneath the tentacles are short (in comparison with other jellyfish) stinging cell stinging cell can be detected on the body surface and on the edge of the oral cavity… the body of the jellyfish is transparent, only the colored rings of the gonads, located in the middle of the umbrella. Aurelia reproduces in mid-summer, then there is an increase in the number of jellyfish off the coast. Interestingly, in China, jellyfish is eaten. For humans, the jellyfish are not dangerous, “burns” mild, however, if you are hypersensitive to poison, can be allergic reactions.
Action when confronted with jellyfish (“burns”):
— carefully remove the tentacles and the remnants of mesoglea (in no case do not RUB the injury site, as this will lead to selection of additional doses of the poison);
— to make a compress of ice and hide in the shadow;
— drinking plenty of fluids helps eliminate toxins;
— take antihistamines (tavegil, loratadine, etc.), anti-inflammatories (Aspirin, Ibuprofen, etc.);
— to go to the hospital (especially when the bite of jellyfish-a garden spider);
Folk remedies in the form of alcoholic beverages can aggravate the condition of the person bitten! Note: fresh water rinse the wound can not be!
Well, what’s the sea without sea urchins. Remember, however, that Globular sea urchins in some cases, can bring a lot of trouble (tested on own experience)! A particularly nasty — pricks of a needle, which is very breaking. Often in the skin remain the ends of the needles, which are encapsulated and “stored” in the human body for many years… the outward signs of sea urchin known to almost everyone: long black needle, the mouth in the lower part of the body, numerous legs with suction cups. The size of the Globular sea urchin of up to 8 inches in diameter, length of spines about 3 cm. Lives usually on hard bottom with algae that it feeds on.
Help – deleting needles and their residues, treatment of wounds with disinfectants!
Recently in the sea of Japan intensified another sea predator – the shark. Attacks on humans were registered in 2011, and in two cases, the attack was accompanied by serious injury! Under assumptions of experts, the culprits of the attacks were: the great white shark and the Mako shark . According to the statistics of shark attacks is miniscule share from other dangers of the sea of Japan, but in any case caution should not be forgotten, otherwise the rest of the sea can lead to tragic consequences.
As a result of the foregoing materials, it is possible to draw a conclusion — make your vacation at sea passed without problems, to become truly “happy time”, remember to be careful, do not risk in vain, because the sea is not your environment, we only go to visit to the true owners!
